1. Purpose
Yukio Alerts is a private multi-factor authentication (MFA) and security notification system. It exists solely to deliver time-sensitive verification codes, login alerts, and infrastructure status notifications via SMS to authorized users.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of the Service and the responsibilities of all parties involved.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- The system administrator who operates Yukio Alerts
- All individuals enrolled to receive SMS notifications
- Any systems or services integrated with the Yukio Alerts platform
3. Permitted Uses
The Service may only be used to send:
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes โ one-time verification codes for login and identity confirmation
- Security alerts โ notifications about login attempts, account activity, and potential security events
- Infrastructure notifications โ system status updates, uptime/downtime alerts, and operational warnings
- Account management messages โ opt-in confirmations, opt-out confirmations, and HELP responses
4. Prohibited Uses
The Service must not be used to:
- Send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages of any kind
- Send messages to individuals who have not provided explicit consent
- Send messages to individuals who have opted out (replied STOP)
- Transmit spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or phishing content
- Impersonate another person, organization, or service
- Harvest, collect, or sell phone numbers or personal information
- Transmit content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, or abusive
- Circumvent carrier filtering, rate limits, or regulatory requirements
- Share access credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties
- Use the Service for any commercial or revenue-generating purpose
โ ๏ธ This is a non-commercial, security-focused notification system. Any use for marketing, sales, or unsolicited messaging is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of access.
5. Consent Requirements
All recipients must provide prior express consent before receiving messages. Consent may be provided through:
- Web opt-in โ via the enrollment form at alerts.nekozen.ai
- Keyword opt-in โ by texting START to (254) 284-6356
- Direct request โ by providing a phone number directly to the system administrator via verbal or written communication
Consent records (method, date, and time) are maintained in compliance with TCPA and CTIA guidelines.
6. Opt-Out Rights
Recipients may opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message โ opt-out is processed immediately
- Contacting the system administrator at [email protected]
Once opted out, no further messages will be sent unless the recipient re-enrolls by texting START or submitting a new opt-in request.
7. Message Frequency & Timing
- Frequency: Message frequency varies โ messages are triggered by account activity and system events, not sent on a fixed schedule
- Timing: Security alerts and MFA codes may be sent at any time, as they are time-sensitive by nature
- Volume: The system is designed for low-volume, high-priority notifications only
8. Compliance
The Service operates in compliance with:
- TCPA โ Telephone Consumer Protection Act
- CTIA Messaging Principles โ industry best practices for messaging
- 10DLC registration โ registered through Twilio's A2P 10DLC program
- Carrier guidelines โ all messages comply with carrier acceptable use policies
9. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of access to the Service
- Removal of the violating party's phone number from all notification lists
- Reporting to relevant carriers or regulatory bodies if required
10. Changes to This Policy
This AUP may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued enrollment in the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
